Our men’s under-21s take on West Ham tonight (Monday) in Premier League 2 as they looked to build on their two wins last week.
Having beaten Blackburn Rovers 4-2 on Monday last week, we built on that with a comfortable 3-0 Sussex Senior Cup victory over Littlehampton on Wednesday.
“We had a really positive week,” under-21s head coach Shannon Ruth said. “We had a really good result against Blackburn and then had a tricky fixture against Littlehampton so quickly after the PL2 game.

“The players performed really well to secure two wins in three days and hopefully that gives the group a bit of confidence going into the West Ham game.”
The 4-2 win over Blackburn was Albion’s first victory in February, as Julio Enciso’s brace helped Ruth’s team to victory.
“We were disappointed with the two goals we conceded, we deserved a clean sheet. One of our big areas to improve on is to focus on the next action and how quickly can we retake control of the game – against Blackburn we did that. That was really positive. We made four subs and they all made an impact to get us over the line.
“We were delighted with Julio [Enciso’s] performance. His professionalism was exemplary and he was an excellent role model for the young players.”
