The League One and Two seasons came to an end over the weekend, while Stuttgart nearly defeated unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen.

James Beadle kept the seventh clean sheet of his Sheffield Wednesday career, as they secured a thumping 3-0 win over West Brom which puts them within a point of securing Championship football for next season.

Sticking with goalkeepers in the Championship, Swansea City continued their decent end of season form with a 2-2 draw against Norwich – Carl Rushworth made it 45 league games for the Swans without missing a minute of action.

Jeremy Sarmiento played the last 30 minutes of Ipswich Town’s 3-3 draw with Hull, with Tuesday’s match against Coventry presenting a huge opportunity to the Tractor Boys to move within touching distance of automatic promotion. Yasin Ayari and Andrew Moran both came on for Blackburn in their 0-0 draw with the Sky Blues on Saturday.

The League One season came to an end over the weekend. Marc Leonard ensured he played in every league game for Northampton Town as he helped the Cobblers to a 1-1 draw with Barnsley, while Jensen Weir played 84 minutes for relegated Port Vale in their 0-0 draw with Cambridge United. Jack Hinchy played the first half of Shrewsbury’s 3-1 defeat to Leyton Orient.

In Germany, Deniz Undav played his part in nearly ending Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten season. The striker scored to put Stuttgart 2-0 up against this season’s Bundesliga champions, before Xabi Alonso’s team managed to find an equaliser in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time. Mo Dahoud came on for the final 15 minutes for Stuttgart.

Kacper Kozlwoski played the full 90 minutes in Vitesse Arnhem’s 3-2 win over Fortuna Sittard, marking just their fifth win of the campaign. Vitesse’s relegation was already confirmed earlier this month following an 18-point deduction.
