Katie Robinson says Albion ‘have come a long way’ since losing to Manchester United last month and believes they can get revenge in tonight’s Adobe FA Cup quarter-final.
Albion lost that game – the first under interim head coach Mikey Harris – 2-0 but they go into the rematch on the back of a 7-3 victory over Bristol City in the WSL, when Robinson scored her fourth goal of the season. She also believes that Harris has made the squad more confident since taking the reins.
“We’ve come a long way since our last game against United, and I really believe we can go out there and put in a strong performance,” said the England winger. “Personally, I feel more confident and like my old self.
“Mikey has instilled a lot of confidence in us as a group and individually. We have a clear style of play now which I think we definitely needed as a group. We’ve always had real togetherness. A lot has gone on in the last few months but that’s a reason to come together more and hopefully that is showing on the pitch.”

Robinson was Albion’s sixth different scorer against Bristol City last week and insists that they don’t have to rely too much on 13-goal Elisabeth Terland.
“The Bristol game could have gone either way at 4-3, but in that last bit I really kicked on and tried to contribute as much as I can," she added. "It also showed we have different ways of scoring and different ways to score goals.
“We’re looking forward to facing United. We’re only two wins away from getting to a Wembley final which would be an incredible achievement and even getting to another semi-final would be a good moment.”
