Smith joins Albion on loan for the remainder of the season.

We’re delighted to announce the loan signing of Gotham FC forward Taylor Smith for the remainder of the season, subject to a working visa and the usual regulatory processes.

Head coach Melissa Phillips said, "We are excited to welcome Taylor to Brighton as our latest January signing.

"Taylor is an experienced player with a competitors mindset and brings a wealth of experience from championship winning teams in the NWSL.

"We are eager to help her settle in and see the value she will add to our team for the rest of the season as we aim to climb the table."

She began her professional career at Western New York Flash where she made 18 appearances and helped the team win the 2016 NWSL Championship.

She later signed for Washington Spirit, Newcastle Jets, OL Reign and eventually returned to Western New York Flash when they were then known as North Carolina Courage.
