Three more work permits confirmed

Roberto De Zerbi has added three more members to his backroom staff.

Work permits have now been granted for three key members of Roberto De Zerbi’s backroom team.

Head goalkeeping coach Ricard Segarra and athletic coach Agostino Tibaudi have both received the relevant Governing Body Endorsement from the Football Association and subsequent visa, meaning they will travel with the team to Liverpool this weekend.

Head coach assistant Enrico Venturelli has also been granted his visa and will also be alongside Roberto for the trip to Anfield.

Ricard Segarra - HEAD GOALKEEPING COACH

Born: October 18th, 1969 (52)

The Spaniard worked his way up the ranks as a goalkeeping coach with Barcelona, working for their B team before departing for Galatasaray in January this year. He also worked with Barca’s under-18s and under-19s. He has a Master’s Degree in Conditioning for Team Sports.

Agostino Tibaudi – ATHLETIC COACH

Born: August 6, 1965 (57)

Agostino joined Roberto De Zerbi’s team at Sassuolo and continued to work with him at Shaktar Donetsk. Prior to moving to Ukraine, Agostino worked in Italy with Sampdoria, AC Milan and Cagliari. He also worked for a season at Chelsea at the beginning of the 2000s. He has a Master’s Degree in Science and Technology of Physical Activity, having begun his coaching career in 1989 at the Italian club Casale.

Enrico Venturelli – HEAD COACH ASSISTANT

Born: June 10, 1980 (42)

Enrico first worked with Roberto as part of his backroom team at Shakhtar Donetsk. Previously he has worked for FIFA and UEFA in operations and was a project manager at three Olympic Games in Sochi 2014, Rio 2016 and Pyeongchang 2018. He is fluent in Italian, English, Russian and Spanish.
