Victoria Williams has made 10 appearances so far this campaign.

Skipper Victoria Williams believes Albion can right a few wrongs when they visit Leicester City in the WSL on Sunday.

Williams says the squad didn’t dwell too long on last Sunday’s crazy 6-0 defeat to Manchester City when they conceded four goals in seven minutes at the start of the second period after a goalless first half.

“I have played in this league for a long time and I can’t remember too many games like it,” she said. “At half-time we were very much in it. I thought the way we tried to go forward and the intensity we showed in the first half against a very strong side was really good.

“We’ve reviewed what happened in the second half but you have to move on pretty quickly. I think as a squad that’s something we’re good at. The Man City game has gone now, just look forward and do your best in the next game.”

WSL Highlights: Albion 1 Leicester City 0

Albion have lost five matches without scoring a goal since narrowly defeating Leicester City 1-0 at the Amex in November, when Maisie Symonds came off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner.

“They made it very hard for us that day,” said Williams. “They got a lot of players behind the ball and it needed a special goal from Maisie to win it for us.

“I imagine on Sunday, with them being bottom of the table again, that they will come at us a bit more. That should suit us. We’re looking forward to the game, what you want most after a bad result is the opportunity to put things right and the good thing about last week is that we did a lot of good things so we have a lot to build on than maybe you would normally have when you lose 6-0.”
