Rebekah Stott

Rebekah Stott rejoined Albion in July 2022, signing a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old defender was born in New Zealand but represented Australia at youth level when she lived there, before enjoying a highly fruitful career for the Football Ferns, playing at two World Cups and two Olympic Games.

She was named as an ambassador for the 2023 Women’s World Cup which is being staged in New Zealand and Australia. Stott will make her third appearance in the World Cup having being named in the New Zealand squad. 

Rebekah has played club football in Norway, Australia, Germany and the United States and re-joined Albion after a spell with Bulleen Lions in Australia's NPL Victoria 2.

She has also played in the W League for Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory. In 2013 she spent two seasons with SC Sand in the German League before heading to the United States in 2017 where she played for Seattle Reign and New Jersey-based Sky Blue FC.

She made more than 20 appearances in the Norwegian League for Avaldsnes in 2019, before heading back to Melbourne City.

In 2020 she signed for Albion and made seven appearances, but had to return to Australia in February 2021 following a Hodgkin's Lymphoma diagnosis.

Following the news that her cancer was in remission, she returned to former club Melbourne City, before signing for Bulleen.

Stott returned to action for Albion after recovering from an ankle injury against West Bromwich Albion in the Women's FA Cup in January 2023 where she netted her first goal for the the club. She made six appearances in the 2022/23 campaign in all competitions.
