She represented the Hampshire Centre of Excellence and did well for their development side, captaining them to the title in 2015.

Rafferty went onto play for Chelsea and was part of the squad which travelled to Japan for the International Women’s Club Championship in 2013 and she made her first team debut during the tournament.

A senior Northern Ireland international, she was a regular in Hope Powell’s side during his first two seasons, making 18 appearances in all competitions in 2018/19, before rupturing her ACL in the build-up into 2019/20 campaign, which saw her miss the entire season.
