George Cox signed his first professional contract for the Seagulls in June 2016 and racked up a number of impressive performances for the club's under-23 side during their 2016/17 Premier League 2 Division 2 season.
The full-back became first-choice left-back in Simon Rusk's team and made his first Checkatrade Trophy appearance against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
Cox then helped the Seagulls gain promotion to the top flight of under-23 football via the play-offs, as he appeared in all 24 of Albion's league games.
After making seven appearances in the Premier League 2 Division 1, Cox secured a move to Sky Bet League Two club Northampton Town until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The defender made five appearances for the Cobblers, with his debut coming in a 3-0 victory over Carlisle United at the PTS Academy Stadium.
