Jeremy Sarmiento joined Albion from Portuguese side Benfica on a two-year deal in July 2021.

The former England Under-17 international came through the ranks with Charlton Athletic, before signing for Benfica in 2018.

Jeremy made his debut for Albion in the Carabao Cup victory over Swansea City in September 2021, before making his first appearance in the Premier League as a substitute in the goalless draw against Leeds United.

Sarmiento was given his first Premier League start by Graham Potter at West Ham in December 2021, but the Ecuadorian winger was substituted off less than 15 minutes into the game with a hamstring injury.

His first team exposure with Albion saw him called up the Ecuador first team, who he made his debut for in October 2021.

The winger signed a new contract with Albion in January 2022, committing his future to the club until June 2026.

Under Roberto De Zerbi, Sarmiento began to feature more regularly in the Premier League, making his first league start of the 2022/23 season in a 4-1 win at Everton. He finished that season with seven Premier League appearances and one assist, supplying the cross for Kaoru Mitoma to nod in a late winner against Bournemouth.

Jeremy joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan for the 2023/24 campaign, where he made 20 Championship appearances scoring twice, before being recalled. He then joined Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
