Yves Bissouma

Yves Bissouma signed a five-year contract with the Seagulls in July 2018, joining from Ligue 1 side Lille OSC.

Bissouma began his senior career with Malian outfit AS Real Bamako before joining Lille in 2016.

He made a total of 55 appearances and scored four goals in two seasons with the French club, and helped them to retain their Ligue 1 status last season.

A Mali international, he made his senior debut in 2015 and scored a last-minute winner in the 2016 African Cup of Nations semi-final against Ivory Coast, before losing in the final to DR Congo.

He made his Seagulls bow in the 2-0 opening day defeat to Watford in August 2018, and went on to make 28 appearances during his debut season at the club.

He scored his first Premier League goal for the Albion with an outrageous strike against Burnley on the final day of the 2019/20 campaign, bending a strike into the top left corner from 25 yards. The 25-year-old also passed the 50 Seagulls appearances mark that campaign, as he cemented his place in the starting XI towards the end of that season.

The midfielder carried his fine form on into the 2020/21 season, missing just two Premier League games as Albion finished 16th in the top-tier.
