After joining the Seagulls in October 2015, Haydon Roberts worked his way through the club’s youth ranks to become a prominent figure Albion’s under-18s.
The defender, who can also play in central midfield, was handed his Premier League 2 debut for Albion’s under-23s in August 2018, and Roberts found the back of the net in a stunning 5-0 win against Manchester City.
Roberts went on to make nine PL2 appearances for Albion’s under-23s during the 2019/20 campaign, and headed his second goal of the season in a 1-1 draw at Liverpool in January 2019.
The 19-year-old went on to make his professional debut later on that year, putting in a Man of the Match performance in a 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Aston Villa, grabbing Albion's only goal of the game.
He spent the 2020/21 campaign out on loan with League One Rochdale, making 25 appearances for the Crown Oil Arena based side.
