Leandro Trossard became the club's second signing of the 2019 summer transfer window, after arriving from KRC Genk on a four-year contract.
He played a key role in Genk's Jupiler Pro League title in 2018/19, scoring 14 goals in 34 games, while also claiming seven assists.
Trossard translated his impressive form to the Europa League, where he scored eight times in 11 games – plus three more assists – as Genk progressed to the last 32 of the competition.
The 27-year-old started his career in the academy at Genk, before loan spells at Lommel United, Westerlo and OH Leuven.
He has also represented Belgium from under-16 to under-21 level, before making his senior debut for the Red Devils in a 2-0 victory over Denmark in September 2020.
He finished the 2020/21 Premier League campaign with five goals and five assists, his form leading to his inclusion in the Belgium squad that went to Euro 2020.
He made one appearance for the Red Devils in a 2-0 win over Finland, playing the full 90 minutes, before they were knocked out in quarter-finals by Italy.
Leo had his best goalscoring return in an Albion shirt in the 2021/22 season, scoring eight goals and getting three assists, capping off a campaign that saw him become a regular in the Belgium squad.
