A look at the Czech winger's career.
Born in Pardubice, Jiri Skalak began his career with Sparta Prague, and he signed his first professional contract with the club in 2010.
As a young pro he had a number of loan moves, including season-long spells with FC Zbrojovka Brno and Boleslav, before making the permanent switch to Boleslav.
Since joining the Seagulls, Skalak has chipped in with mutliple assists and scored his first goal in a 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers in 2016, which went on to be named the club's Goal of the Season.
Skalak was unable to find the back of the net in the club's promotion-winning season, but produced a number of assists throughout the memorable campaign.
Skalak is also a full Czech Republic international and played at the 2016 European Championships in France.
