A look at the Dutch goalkeeper's career.
Tim Krul signed for Brighton & Hove Albion on a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United on the final day of the summer transfer window in 2017.
After beginning his career with Dutch side ADO Den Haag, Krul moved to Newcastle in the summer of 2005, before keeping a clean sheet on his his first-team debut against Palermo in the UEFA Cup the following year.
The Dutchman then won the Under-21 European Championships in 2007, after signing a new four-year contract with the Magpies.
Between 2007 and 2009, Krul spent time on loan at Falkirk and Carlisle United, before returning to Tyneside, where he made his Premier League debut in 2010 and ended the season as Newcastle’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Krul kept a clean sheet against Brazil on his international debut for Netherlands in 2011, and has made seven appearances for his country to date.
Krul has made 157 appearances for the Magpies in the Premier League, and enjoyed loan spells with Ajax and AZ Alkmaar during the 2016/17 campaign.
