A look at the goalkeeper's career.

Christian Walton joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Plymouth Argyle in February 2013 on a three-year deal before signing a new four-year deal in July 2014.
The 19-year-old began his career at the age of 10 in the Argyle youth system and appeared on the first-team bench three days after his 16th birthday for an FA Cup tie against Stourbridge.
Walton made his Albion senior debut for the Seagulls aged 18 in a League Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in October 2014.

After impressing against Spurs, the young keeper made back-to-back Championship appearances against Wigan and Blackburn in November, and was named man of the match in the Seagulls' 1-0 win over the Latics.

Walton spent the first half of the 2016/17 season on loan at League Two club Luton Town, where the shot-stopper impressed under former Albion player Nathan Jonesm, making a total of 33 appearances.

He was then recalled to the Seagulls in January 2017, before heading back out on emergency loan moves to Southend United during the latter part of their League One campaign.

Walton then moved to Wigan Athletic on loan for the 2017/18 season and helped the League One club secure promotion to the Championship, while also beating Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup.

The goalkeeper kept 19 clean sheets in 31 league appearances, as the Latics ended the campaign as League One champions.
Walton returned to Wigan for a second loan spell with the Latics ahead of their return to the Championship in 2018/19.
The shot-stopper has also represented England at under-19, under-20 and under-21 level.
