A look at the Colombian winger's career.
Jose Ezquirdo became Brighton & Hove Albion's club-record transfer in the summer of 2017 - a record which has now been broken again - as he signed a four-year contract from Club Brugge.
Hailing from the Colombian city of Pereira, Izquierdo - who wears the number 19 shirt for Albion - began his professional career with hometown club Deportivo Pereira. He moved to Once Caldas in 2013, before his move to Club Brugge in 2014.
In his three years with Brugge, he helped them win the Belgian Cup during his first season in 2014/15, and the Belgian League a year later - when he won the Golden Shoe, Belgium's Player of the Year Award.
In 2017 he was called up by the Colombian national team, and played in the summer friendly matches against Cameroon and Spain, scoring once.
Izquierdo came off the bench against Watford at Vicarage Road to make his Albion debut, almost finding the back of the net from 25 yards.
