A look at the full-back's career.
Ezequiel Schelotto signed a three-year deal from Primeira Liga side Sporting Lisbon during the summer of 2017, on the final day of the transfer window.
Schelotto began his career at Italian side Cesena before joining Serie A side Atalanta – although he returned on loan to the Serie B outfit and helped them gain promotion with six goals in 40 appearances in their 2009/10 campaign.
The full-back began the following season with Cesena but ended it with Calcio Cantania, also playing in Serie A, before returning to Atalanta for the 2011/12 season.
Schelotto then signed for Inter Milan in a deal worth €6 million in January 2013. He made 13 appearances for Inter and found the net once, scoring the equaliser in the Milan derby.
Loan spells at Sassuolo, Parma and Chievo Verona followed, before Schelotto joined Sporting in November 2015. He has made 37 league appearances for the Portuguese side, helping them to second and third placed finishes.
Eligible to play for the Italian national team, Schelotto made seven appearances for the under-21 side before winning his first senior cap against England in 2012.
Schelotto's Premier League debut came against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, as he came off the bench in the second half, but his first start was against Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium.
The full-back replaced Bruno at right-back for a period of the 2017/18 campaign, as he racked up 20 top-flight appearances, and became a fans' favourite due to his hard-working displays.
