A look at the Albion strength & conditioning coach's career
Tom Barnden was appointed first-team strength and conditioning coach in 2014 following two years as head of academy strength and conditioning.
Barnden played an integral role in the club's 2016/17 promotion-winning campaign, as he worked alongside the club's coaching staff and players to ensure the best results were acheived throughout the season.
This worked continued into the 2017/18 Premier League season, which saw the Seagulls secure their status for the following season after finishing 15th.
The S&C coach completed his postgraduate degree at Loughborough University before joining Coventry City FC in 2010.
He then moved to GlaxoSmithKline, working alongside other sporting organisations from a variety of different sports, before joining Tottenham Hotspur FC as a Sports Scientist in 2012.
During his time at White Hart Lane, Tom worked mainly with the first-team and under-21 development squads before taking the opportunity to work at Albion where he now oversees all fitness and conditioning at the club.
Tom possesses the UEFA B license and is UKSCA and BASES Chartered Scientist accredited.
