Julio Enciso signed for Brighton & Hove Albion in June 2022, putting pen to paper on a contract until June 2026. Enciso arrived after an impressive 2022 with Libertad, having scored 11 goals and laying on three assists in 14 league appearances. He made his international debut for Paraguay in June 2021 at 17. Julio made his Albion debut in the Carabao Cup, starting in the 3-0 win over Forest Green Rovers, before making his Premier League debut in the 4-1 win over Chelsea in October 2022. The teenager had a superb second half of the 2022/23 season. After scoring his first Premier League goal for us in our 2-0 win at Bournemouth, he hammered home a winner at Chelsea, before scoring the Premier League Goal of the Season against Manchester City. He finished his first season having made 20 Premier League appearances, being credited with four goals and two assists. Having set two goals up in our 4-1 win over Wolves in August 2023, the forward missed six months of the campaign with a knee injury, before returning to action in late February.
