Facundo Buonanotte joined Albion in January 2023 from Rosario Central, on a contract that runs until June 2027.
Originally from the nearby city of Perez, Facundo had been with Rosario Central since the age of ten when he joined their academy.
He made his senior debut for Rosario in February 2022 and went on to make 32 appearances, scoring four goals. In June 2022, he made his debut for Argentina at under-20 level, playing three times in the Toulon tournament in France, when they finished fifth.
After joining us midway through the 2022/23 season, Facundo made his Premier League debut in February 2023, coming on for the final 15 minutes in our 1-0 home victory over Bournemouth.
He scored on his first league start in a 3-1 away defeat to Nottingham Forest, finishing the season having made 13 league appearances for us.
Buonanotte's year would continue to impress, as he was handed his full Argentina debut in June 2023, playing for 75 minutes against Indonesia in a 2-0 victory for the World Cup winners. His appearance for his country made him the 11th youngest ever debutant for Argentina.
