Maelys Mpome joined Albion from Chelsea in summer 2025.

She signed for the Blues from Montpellier at the beginning of the 2024/25 season and made eight appearances for them in the WSL, League Cup and Champions League that season, as they won the domestic treble.

The defender was with Montpellier for four years prior to heading to England and made more than 70 appearances for them. She’s also a member of all the youth French national teams including one camp with the senior team in 2025.

She came through the academy of French second-tier club VGA Saint-Maur.
