Philly Seagulls was officially recognized by the club in 2023 and was formed in 2022. Founding member John Fitzpatrick started following the Seagulls after studying abroad at the University of Sussex in 2013.

The early years consisted of myself, my roommate Ari (whom I met at Sussex) and my now fiance. As the seasons went on we began to meet more and more Brighton fans out and about in the city. As the club's fan base in the US grew, I set up a Philly Seagulls Twitter account to help organise matchday meetups and connect Philadelphia area fans with one another.

Philly Seagulls now has 30+ members we've met throughout the last few years. We worked with the club to organise last summer's 'Summer Series' event at Xfinity Live before the Chelsea match, which was an absolute blast.

We spend our match days at Hilltown Tavern in Philly's Fairmount neighbourhood with our favourite bartender Aiden.
