Our kit staff are set to embark on an incredible charity walk next week to celebrate 35 years of the BHAFC Foundation, raising money for our charitable arm and The Brain Tumour Charity.
In June, kit manager Alex Burrows aka âBuzzâ and kit assistant Harry Wood, alongside social media manager Matt Bishop, will be walking 35 miles from Rustington to the Amex, aiming to raise ÂŁ35,000 â a mile and ÂŁ1,000 for each year of our Foundation â while donating kit to local schools along the way.
âItâs an idea that has completely snowballed into this huge event,â Buzz explains. âWe're really looking forward to it and it 's our way of giving something back to the Foundation for their anniversary.
âAs a kit team, we work closely with them and we all know the amazing work the Foundation have done in the local area to change lives through football over the last 35 years. Weâre hoping to raise some money to help them over the next 35 with an online auction and any kind donations along the way!
âWeâll also be auctioning some exclusive prizes to raise additional funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, a charity close to my heart.â
Glenn Murray and Bobby Zamora will welcome back Buzz, Harry and Matt at The Terrace at the end of their charity walk.
Buzzâs Charity Walk will start on Wednesday 25 June in Rustington and finish at the Amex on Friday 27 June with an evening of celebrations in The Terrace.
Albion fans will have the chance to hear from legends Glenn Murray and Bobby Zamora, who will be on stage answering questions about their storied careers and youâll also have a chance to walk away with some incredible raffle prizes.
Your ticket costs ÂŁ35 and includes food provided by Steven Edwardsâ Bites and a free drink token, and you will also be able to purchase drinks throughout the evening, with funds raised going to the BHAFC Foundation.
Food will include a burger/hot dog or a vegetarian option, a side of popcorn potato, plus a soft or alcoholic drink.
