Harry Howell scored a late consolation goal for Albion.

Albion men's under-18s remain eighth in the Premier League after a narrow 3-2 defeat to Fulham.

Inigo Calderon’s youngsters suffered a third successive defeat in their first game for three weeks but the head coach felt his side deserved more.

Sahil Bashir put Albion ahead after 23 minutes but by half-time the hosts had turned it round at Motspur Park to lead through goals in the space of two minutes from Chibuzo Nwoko (33) and Aaron Loupalo-Bi (35).

Tom Wingate made it 3-1 with 14 minutes to go with Harry Howell grabbing a stoppage-time consolation for Fulham.

Coach Inigo Calderon was left frustrated after Albion's U18s lost 3-2 at Fulham.

Calderon said, “Again, it’s a difficult game to explain. It wasn’t the first time we played much better than the opposition, but we have to think that it’s not bad luck and we have to do things better so you get the three points.

“It’s frustrating and disappointing because I don’t think the players deserved the outcome with all the work they do in the week and during the game. We were better for the majority of the game but we switched off for two minutes in the first half and they punished us when we conceded two silly goals.”

Albion have a quick chance to bounce back when they face Arsenal at the American Express Elite Performance Centre on Tuesday (12 noon). “That’s the best thing, we have a game on Tuesday to try and put things right,” added Calderon.
