Layth Gulzar grabbed a late equaliser.

Layth Gulzar netted a late equaliser as our men’s under-18s drew 3-3 with Crystal Palace on Saturday in Premier League South.

Charlie Tasker put Albion in front after ten minutes when he cut in from the right and fired past Palace keeper William Eastwood.

Tasker then doubled his team’s lead and his tally for the day when he rounded off an impressive attack down the right that had started with keeper Lorenz Ferdinand.

Palace pulled one back ten minutes before the break when Jesse Derry was first to react when a shot came back off the post, converting from ten yards.

The hosts equalised in the 79th minute when George King headed in emphatically, before he put his side in the lead two minutes later with a tidy finish into the bottom left corner.

Substitute Layth Gulzar ensured Inigo Calderon’s team didn’t leave empty handed though, as he scrambled the ball home from close range in the first minute of added time to make it 3-3.

Albion line-up: Ferdinand, Tasker, Simmonds, Penman, Mills, Albarus, Moulton (Vickers 73), Knight (Gulzar 73), Belmont (Gorman 73), Howell, Oriola (West 45).

Unused sub: Mansell.
