Marc Leonard’s Northampton Town made it three consecutive League One defeats as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Barnsley. The Scotsman hasn’t missed a minute of action for the Cobblers in their opening eight league games.

Blackpool made it two wins from three with a thumping 4-1 victory over Reading. Jensen Weir came on at the start of the second half for the Tangerines, teeing up Jordan Rhodes for Blackpool’s fourth and the veteran striker’s hat-trick.
