Shane Nti scored late on for Albion in their defeat to Tottenham.

Our men’s under-18s suffered a 4-2 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday in Premier League South.

We were punished for losing the ball in midfield after four minutes when Ellis Lehane rounded off a quick counter-attack before he doubled his team’s lead with another close-range finish with 17 minutes on the clock.

Yusuf Akhamrich made it 3-0 just before half-time after Tottenham broke from an Albion corner, with Akhamrich powering down the left before cutting onto his right foot and firing in from just inside the box.

Inigo Calderon's team are ninth in Premier League South after four games.

Oliver Irow put his team well out of reach eight minutes after the restart as he tapped in Spurs’ fourth at the back post.

Ronnie Gorman curled a lovely free kick into the top left corner with eight minutes left to play, before Shane Nti scored in the first minute of stoppage time to make it 4-2 on the afternoon.

Men’s under-18s head coach Inigo Calderon said, “We didn’t start well in the game and that proved costly as we conceded really early. After that it became more complicated and I don’t think we competed at the levels we’re capable of.

“It was a good time have a test like that – Spurs are a good team – but we know what we have to do to improve.”
