Levi Colwill has admitted that Adam Lallana pushing him during training with Albion helped him become a better player.
The Chelsea defender spent last season on loan with us, making 17 Premier League appearances to help us to our best top-flight finish of sixth.
The centre-back admitted that his laidback style has its pros and cons, and that former teammate Lallana wanted to see more from the aspiring England international.
“I am someone who is a chilled person and sometimes I need someone to give me a bit of a push," Colwill explained.
“At first I did not really understand why he (Adam) was always on at me in training.
"He would give me compliments, if I needed them. If I was struggling a bit, he asked me if I was alright.
"If I was doing well, he would push me to make sure I was still doing well. He would always communicate.
“He was always putting his arm around me, the same as Lewis Dunk.”
