Leigh Kavanagh has signed a one-year contract extension with the club with the option of a further year.
The 19-year-old centre-back joined us from Bray Wanderers in July 2020 before spending time on loan with Derby County’s under-21s at the end of 2022.
The Irishman has made 13 Premier League 2 appearances and our under-21s head coach, Shannon Ruth is happy to have the tall defender in his squad for the upcoming campaign.
Ruth said, “Leigh’s contract extension is great news for him and us. He continues to impress and ended the PL2 campaign well last season.
“This will be an important year for his development and we look forward to helping Leigh continue his development and reach his potential.”
