Julio Enciso’s stunning strike against Manchester City has won the coveted Premier League Goal of the Season award.

From a shortlist of nine goals, Enciso’s screamer, which secured Albion the point we needed to guarantee Europa League football next season, pipped the likes of Paraguayan counterpart Miguel Almiron and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise to the award.

After joining Albion from Club Libertad last summer, Enciso enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough campaign, finishing the season with four Premier League goals and two assists.

Alongside his award-winning goal against the Premier League champions last month, the 19-year-old netted an unforgettable winner against Chelsea in April and Evan Ferguson was the only teenager to score more top-flight goals than him this season.

After scoring against City, Enciso said, “Against Chelsea I got a similar goal but I thought this was better because it was in front of our people, in our stadium and it was an important point, so it was incredible.”
