Falmer - next stop, Europe!

Falmer train station has been transformed to celebrate Albion qualifying for Europe for the first time.

Until the end of the week, football fans and rail passengers alike will see Falmer station signage rebranded to Falmer: next stop, Europe! at the station closest to the Amex which is managed by Southern Rail.

The temporary signage boasts a seagull emblem and the club's blue and white colours. Showcased in time for Wednesday’s final home match against Manchester City, the new sign will remain in situ until the club's final away game against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Paul Barber, said, "We are absolutely delighted to have secured a European spot for the club, our fans and the city. We can't wait for the draw to find out where we will be playing, and we are really looking forward to welcoming fans from across Europe next season at the Amex.

The perfect welcome for this evening's game against Manchester City.

"Southern Rail have been essential partners and are an important part of our matchday operations and we look forward to working with them to provide a first-class service for supporters in 2023/24, and we thank them for marking such a significant achievement for the club in this unique way."

Stephen MacCallaugh, Head of Stations for Southern Rail, said, “Train travel and sport go hand in hand, with fans travelling up and down the country to follow their favourite teams. It’s been fantastic to watch the rise of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club over recent years and particularly this season.

"With the football club such a pillar of the local community, we wanted to celebrate the club making it into Europe by transforming Falmer Station’s signs. Congratulations Seagulls!”
