Sunday marks the 40th anniversary of Albion’s FA Cup Final appearance against Manchester United and we have produced a special matchday programme to celebrate.
We pay homage to the 1983 team with a host of features and exclusive interviews, likewise some wonderful imagery from the cup run and memorabilia from the day itself.
Jimmy Case and club historian Tim Carder talk us through the Road to Wembley, while Steve Gatting recalls his memories of the semi-final at Highbury against Sheffield Wednesday.
Gary Stevens and Gordon Smith played key roles in the final itself and both provide a fascinating insight into the rollercoaster of emotions they went through that day.
Manager Jimmy Melia gives us his take on the cup run, including a famous win at his former club Liverpool, and we also speak to after-dinner speaker and comedian Bob ‘The Cat’ Bevan, who was ‘adopted’ by Melia and became a member of the squad that day!
With 22 pages of dedicated anniversary coverage, Sunday’s programme against Southampton – which also includes an extended interview with Billy Gilmour – is a must-buy collector's item.
You can purchase your copy on the day, priced £3.50, or online here.
