Phillips said, "Since I came to the club the biggest areas of focus we want is to optimism and energy within the group. The players were yearning for some consistency and higher standards and they’ve certainly risen to the challenge.
“We’re taking things game by game and preparing accordingly for each test to see where we can stretch ourselves and get better. It’s been good to have a decent chunk of time to prepare and focus on us, our main task is Everton on Sunday."

But they went down 4-1 at home to Arsenal on Wednesday and were beaten 7-0 at Chelsea in their last away game. After losing 3-2 to Albion at the Broadfield Stadium last month they bounced back with a 3-2 victory at Reading.
