De Zerbi: Work still to do, but we are a great team

Head coach reflects on impressive 3-0 win over Arsenal that puts Albion up to sixth.

Roberto De Zerbi was delighted with this players after they stunned Arsenal with a 3-0 win at the Emirates, but he warned the job of qualifying for Europe is still not done.

Albion moved up to sixth and into the Europa League places with four games to go after goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan in the second half secured our third successive win at the Emirates.

“I’m really pleased with the performance but the season is not finished for us," said the head coach. "The 58 points on the table we have are not enough, we are fighting for a big, big target so we have to win more games.”

De Zerbi hailed a ‘fantastic’ display by his side who showed their quality by bouncing back from defeat to Everton on Monday.

“It had been a very tough week after Monday’s result, but today we showed character and passion, we showed we are serious people.

“I have to repeat, I am lucky to be the coach of Brighton. I have a lot of great players. We have to improve our mentality so we give our best in every game and every training session, and we have to adapt to playing many games in a row but we are a great team.”
