Albion celebrate Elisabeth Terland's first goal in Wednesday's win over Everton.

Albion will be looking to build on Wednesday’s win over Everton when they head to Liverpool on Sunday in the WSL, kick off 2pm.

Two goals from Elisabeth Terland either side of Katie’s Robinson’s lob sealed the 3-2 victory against the Toffees, our first in the league since November. It came in Melissa Phillips’ first WSL game as head coach.

A win on Sunday could lift Albion up to ninth, depending on Spurs’ result against Aston Villa.

View from the head coach

"We had to build on the positives against Manchester United and I thought we did that against Everton. We had a real focus and it was nice to see us be the dominant side, especially in the first half. The players and staff deserved that win, they have been through a lot this season. Now we have to build on it against Liverpool.

"We're not going to focus on the table, just the actions required to be competitive and a difficult team to beat. Liverpool are a strong, physical side and quite dynamic in their attacking style. We know their threats and it's about us going there with the same mentality as we've shown in our last two games.

"It's about building upon our new identity out of possession and being more disciplined when we don't have the ball. And trying to find areas where we can show more quality on the ball."

Previous meetings

Albion and Liverpool shared six goals in a thriller at the Broadfield Stadium last November. Terland and Robinson were both on target and Danielle Carter also scored before Liverpool hit back with two goals in the last 14 minutes, including a stoppage-time equaliser.
