Pascal Gross says Albion have ‘improved in every department’ as he reflected on six years at the club and the prospect of at least two more after agreeing a contract until 2025.
The 31-year-old was our first signing of the Premier League era in 2017/18 and is proud of the part he has played in the club's progress since then.
“The only players still here since I joined are Solly and Dunky so it has completely changed in a positive way, we have improved in every department," he said.
“Everything is bigger but also better. We have a great group of players, coach and coaching staff and great people behind the scenes. Everything has improved. We are moving in the right direction and I am proud to be part of that.”
Gross says that he has improved as a player in the last six years and his versatility in being able to play in several positions has been recognised by head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
He added, “I am quite consistent and I want to improve every day as a player and as a person, and this is the perfect environment for me because the club wants to improve all the time as well. If you look back on the six years I have been here, the club has always moved forward and that’s my mentality as well.
“The club just suits me. Brighton & Hove feels like home and my son was born in the UK, it’s a special place for us. I’ve met great people and made friends for life, but I want to keep pushing and playing well.”
