Albion fell to a heartbreaking narrow 3-2 defeat to Manchester United but we exited the Vitality Women's FA Cup at the semi-final stage with our heads held high.
In her first game in charge, head coach Melissa Phillips said she was proud of her squad's performance against the current WSL league leaders.
"I couldn't be prouder of the group," she said. "The performances have been there but what we talked about was giving a good account of ourselves with attitude, resilience and how we respond to scoring and conceding goals - i think the players did that brilliantly today.
"We have a lot to build on, there's loads that we can take away from the performance into this week but equally learn about ourselves because it's not going to happen overnight. It takes time but we'll give more like this in future games.
"We made some adjustments to how we played compared to the last time against United and I don't think that they expected it from us."

The American coach reflected on her first few days as Albion boss and emphasised the key role the backroom staff have played in helping her during the transitional period.
She added, "The players and staff have been brilliant in helping me understand who they are. I have learned as much as I can in a handful of days and we know where we want to go.
"Mentality is everything and that will be the most important thing that we do from now on. We'll respond to matches like this with humility and keep working hard throughout the week. Mentality is going to be a huge part of who we are going forward."
Albion face Everton at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday in the WSL.
