The 2022/23 ePremier League Finals take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March, with MarcMarleyyyy and RagnarFIFA47 competing against some of the world’s best EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 players competing to win the title for Albion.

All 20 Premier League clubs will be represented, with two players for each club competing for the honour of ePremier League (ePL) Champion and a share of the £100,000 prize pool. The four competitors from the top-two clubs will also earn spots in the EA SPORTS FIFA 23 Global Series Playoffs and Play-Ins.

Now into its fifth year, this season’s ePL Finals will once again be hosted at Here East in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The action will be televised in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and shown across the League’s digital channels (YouTube, web, app and Facebook) from 12pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.

It will also be streamed on EA’s Twitch channel, plus Sky Sports’ YouTube platform and app.

MarcMarleyyyy (PlayStation) and RagnarFIFA47 (Xbox) made it through to the ePremier League Grand Finals in March after winning another entertaining live stream event, hosted on the club’s YouTube account, but let’s take a closer look at who they are and how they qualified.

PlayStation 5 Winner – MarcMarleyyyy (Marc Marley)

MarcMarleyyyy, has now qualified for the ePremier League Grand Finals for five consecutive years, with three of those representing the Albion.

This year’s format saw MarcMarleyyyy taking straight victories through to the club playoff final where he defeatedJay_067 with a convincing 4-0 win.

Marc eked out a 4-3 win in round one of the club playoffs, before an emphatic 8-1 victory in round two, which set him up for Playstation playoff success.

On the secret to success, Marc said, “I just seem to qualify, I never do it the easy way!

“Even though the semis and the final were quite convincing results, I'll go 3-0 down in the first 60 minutes of the tournament but it seemed to work!”.

On joining up with a new Xbox teammate he added, “That [final] was entertaining and RagnarFIFA deserved to go through, ultimately. I’m looking forward to teaming with him...it’s going to be a loud pod!”.

Commenting on the fantastic support he has received, “It’s one of the main reasons that I keep on doing this and live stream as much as I can. The support means everything... Hopefully we can perform for all of them in London.”

Xbox Series X Winner – RagnarFIFA47 (Jake Budge)

RagnarFIFA47 matched his PlayStation counterpart with straight victories, including a resounding 15-3 result against Iampaddy1 in round one. RagnarFIFA47 narrowly defeated Impactz in round two and remained in the winners bracket, but the pair met again in the club playoff final after Impactz qualified from the losers bracket with 3-1 and 12-3 wins.

The club playoff final was tight-knit and made for a thrilling encounter. With the score 4-4 after extra time, it was time for the ultimate test: a penalty shoot-out. RagnarFIFA47 pulled off three saves to seal his opponent’s fate and will now represent Albion in the ePremier League Grand Final for the first time.

On reaching the Grand Finals, Jake said, “I didn’t think it would happen to be honest!”.

RagnarFIFA47 mentioned his supporters, seen in the background of his live stream celebrating his victory, “[They were with me] The whole qualifiers, the whole way through! The same two were with me the entire tournament.”

On how he felt coming into today's competition, “I knew I’d get to the final, I didn’t know if I could beat Impactz. I’ve played him over the years and it's always a problem against him to be honest.”

Commenting on the finals, and if he fancied his chances in a penalty shoot-out, “I can’t take pens, so I don’t know how I won! I think I deserved to win the game. I think that last leg especially, I think I deserved to win that game. The leg before he was probably the better player but overall, I deserved to go through today”.
