Pervis Estupinan joined us in the summer from Villareal.

Pervis Estupinan says that he would love to enjoy some more knockout success having already tasted European glory.

The Ecuador international was a part of the Villareal team that won the Europa League in 2021 and reckons there is no better feeling in football than getting your hands on silverware.

“The FA Cup is an amazing competition and it would really motivate us even more if we won a trophy. I have won one before and there are no words to describe it. I would love to win one with Brighton,” he said.

“We will fight in this competition and try to win the trophy. It will be difficult but not impossible. We will fight until the end, we will try and play well and hopefully we can win it.

Estupinan: De Zerbi has given me confidence to kick on

“It’s one of my dreams to play in Wembley and hopefully I’ll be able to achieve it.”

Albion’s FA Cup form is a reflection of their Premier League performances. Seventh after Wednesday’s 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, Roberto De Zerbi has set his sights on a place in European football next season.

“When you’re doing well and climbing up the table everything becomes clear. The coach has spoken to us and we are looking to do this [qualifying for Europe].

“We are aware of where we are in the table so why not? Why not dream? If we carry on like this we could finish in those European places. That’s what we all want.”
