Reda Khadra scored his first home goal for Birmingham City as the Blues secured a 2-0 win over Rotherham.
The winger opened the scoring after five minutes, cutting in from the left and firing into the bottom right corner.
There were mixed fortunes for the two Albion players in the Belgian League at the weekend.
Steven Alzate’s Standard Liege were beaten by Club Brugge thanks to two second half goals but Simon Adingra scored and assisted in Royale Union Saint-Gilloise’s 2-1 win over top of the table Genk.

Five points still sit between Genk and second place Union, but Adingra is hitting form at the right time and has been involved in three goals in his last two games.
Andi Zeqiri rescued a point for Basel at St Gallen as he scored an 82nd minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw for the Swiss Super League side. Abdallah Sima’s Angers fell to a 2-0 defeat to Toulouse in Ligue 1 while in Germany Michal Karbownik played the full 90 minutes as Fortuna Dusseldorf drew 1-1 with Heidenheim.
Kjell Scherpen and Kacper Kozlowski, playing for Vitesse Arnhem, were beaten 3-1 by Sparta Rotterdam.

Back in the EFL, Haydon Roberts came off the bench in Derby’s 3-2 win over Oxford United, while Carl Rushworth’s Lincoln were beaten 2-1 at Exeter. Jensen Weir’s Morecambe’s missed the opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone as they were beaten 3-1 by Shrewsbury, while in League Two, Jack Spong was a late substitute in a much-needed win for Crawley, as they beat Harrogate Town 3-1.
Elsewhere in the fourth tier, Marc Leonard helped Northampton Town make it four games unbeaten with a 1-1 draw with Hartlepool.
James Beadle might not have been happy to have conceded three against play-off chasing Salford City, but was no doubt was overjoyed that Crewe scored four in an end-to-end affair at Gresty Road.
