Yasin Ayari joined Albion from Swedish team AIK on Monday.

New signing Yasin Ayari can’t wait to work under Roberto De Zerbi.

The Sweden international believes his style of play will suit his new team, having completed his move here on Monday.

“I am comfortable with the ball, I work hard and run a lot.

“Brighton beat a big club in Liverpool on Sunday, even though they made a few changes from the game before. They played really well and it was a joy to watch.

“I like the way Brighton play. To get into the team I need to do my best on and off the pitch. I know that I am a good player, but now I need to prove myself.

“I love the way the team plays under Roberto [De Zerbi], it’s a style that suits me – short passing, keeping possession with a focus on creating chances and through that you win games.”

The midfielder has played twice for Sweden.

The 19-year-old has been impressed by the facilities at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre and the way the club focusses on developing young players.

“A lot of people have already told me that this is a good club to develop, they do good things with their young players and they improve them.

“The training ground is amazing, they have everything here. There’s everything to help you become a great player.”

Yasin arrives here a full Sweden international, having made his full debut earlier this month for his country.

“It was a great honour. It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, it was a special moment and a great opportunity for me.

“I have played for the Sweden youth teams which helped me to develop and become a better player.”
