Roberto De Zerbi's team have scored 35 goals in the Premier League this season.

Roberto De Zerbi says it’s an ‘honour’ to work with the Albion players after they moved up to seventh in the Premier League table with a 3-0 Amex win over Liverpool.

Two goals from Solly March – his first at the Amex since September 2020 – just after half-time were followed by a brilliant individual effort by substitute Danny Welbeck.

“We are really happy with the result, the quality of the performance and our play. I have a fantastic team, and for me it is an honour to work with them,” said De Zerbi.

De Zerbi: It's an honour to work here

“Results are always difficult to achieve but we will work hard to arrive there [at our target]. I don’t want to speak about the league table as we have another 20 games to go so we have to stay focused on them. We have a dream and we want to work hard to achieve our targets.”

De Zerbi also praised his team for adapting to Liverpool’s tactical tweak and exploiting the space behind their defence, particularly by March and Kaoru Mitoma.

“We expected a different tactical approach by our opponent, but we played a fantastic game. Solly March is a fantastic player. Mitoma too. I have to repeat that I have a great squad and it is difficult to choose a first XI.”
