We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Dejana Stefanovic, who has signed a contract with the club until June 2024, subject to international clearance.

Stefanovic, 25, has joined Albion after three seasons at Valerenga in the Norwegian Toppserien, having also previously played at ASPTT Albi and Avaldsnes.

During her time in Norway, the versatile midfielder won the Toppserien with Valerenga in 2020; they were runners-up in the 2019 and 2022 seasons. In the same year as their league title success, she also helped the team to consecutive wins in the NM Cupen in 2020 and 2021.

At international level, Stefanovic was a regular within the Serbian national team in their journey to the qualifying group stage of the European Championships last summer.

Head coach Jens Scheuer commented, “I know her from playing for the Serbia national team, she has done really well for her country.

“She is a strong midfielder and good at the defensive side, but she can build up the game as well.

“She has also got the physical strength that we need in midfield.”
