The players mob Solly after his scorcher against Saints.

Finding the net at Old Trafford and against Chelsea are nearly on a par with Solly March scoring, according to Pascal Gross.

The German can reflect on a fine campaign so far in front of goal with five goals to his name, but it was March who finally notched on Monday, as he thumped home Albion’s third goal against Southampton in the 3-1 win.

“It’s unbelievable, I am so happy for him,” Pascal reflected. “I told him I was nearly as happy as when I scored because he deserves it so much.

“He is playing well, he is working hard, he is a big part of the team and he has deserved that goal for a long time.”

Gross put in another superb shift in the Albion engine room and says that the way his teammates moved the ball in possession was the most pleasing aspect of their performance.

“I always enjoy the game, but you enjoy it more when you have the ball and we had the ball a lot on Monday. We dominated against a very good Premier League side.

“I think the way we played football [was the most enjoyable part], we played with a lot of courage, we gave each other options, and we were brave in areas where you can't make a mistake.

“You need to be good on the ball and that allows you to create space and be good on the attack. I think we did that really well, we found the spare man, our passing was good but then also we attacked well after we had success in the build-up.”
