Park scored against New Zealand for South Korea.

While Katie Robinson was making her England seniors debut, several of her Albion team-mates were also on international duty during the latest break.

South Korean pair Geummin Lee and Yee-un Park travelled all the way to New Zealand for a pair of friendlies against one of the hosts of next year’s World Cup, and Park scored the equaliser in the second fixture in Auckland on Tuesday which finished 1-1. Lee played in both games with the first encounter in Christchurch last Friday ending in a 1-0 victory for the South Koreans.

Emma Kullberg and Julia Zigiotti also clocked up the air miles with Sweden losing 4-0 against the other World Cup hosts Australia in front of 22,000 fans in Melbourne.

Elisabeth Terland was an unused sub in Norway’s 2-1 loss to Brazil and Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against the Lionesses, when Robinson came off the bench to make her England debut. Similarly, Meg Walsh was not called upon by Ireland in their 4-0 friendly win over Morocco although the Albion keeper did play 90 minutes in a behind-closed doors game for Ireland last week.

Vea Sarri played and scored in both games for Greece as they beat Cyprus 4-0 and 1-0 in two friendlies in Athens.

At under-23 level, Poppy Pattinson and Jorja Fox were part of the England team which beat Netherlands 2-0 at Walsall’s Poundland Stadium last Thursday. Pattinson also started Monday’s 2-0 defeat to Norway while Fox came off the bench in the second half.
