Roberto De Zerbi is giving Albion’s youngsters all the confidence they need by giving them first team minutes, according to Jeremy Sarmiento.
The 20-year-old has already featured twice off the bench in the Premier League under the Italian, while he started in the 3-1 victory in the Carabao Cup over Arsenal.
“It’s great playing under him [De Zerbi],” Jeremy said. “He’s giving opportunities to the younger guys and at the same time he is very demanding.

“It’s clear what he wants us to do on the pitch, but he gives the young guys the confidence to keep pushing for a place in the starting 11 in the Premier League.”
The winger showed his flexibility as he swapped from the left to the right flank in the second half, teeing up Kaoru Mitoma to fire home Albion’s second on the night.
“I can play on the left and right, it’s not a problem for me – I got on the ball and got an assist. Since I was young I’ve played in a few positions, as long as Roberto is happy, I am happy.”

Jeremy’s first season on the south coast was interrupted by injury, but says that he is fully focused on being at his best now.
“The injuries are in the past now, I’ve just tried to let everything go and try to find some rhythm.
“The new coach has come in and given me the confidence, he has been playing me. I want to look forward, we’ve got the game this Sunday and then we’ve got the World Cup.”
