Solly March says Albion need to be on the front foot from the first whistle as they look for their first win under Roberto De Zerbi.

Graham Potter returns to the Amex tomorrow less than two months after leaving the club for Chelsea, who are unbeaten in five Premier League games since his arrival.

In a tough month, Albion have picked up two points from five games under De Zerbi although they produced one of their best performances under the Italian in last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Manchester City.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, Albion dominated the start of the second half and March teed up Leandro Trossard to pull a goal back before Kevin De Bruyne sealed it for the hosts.

“We gave it a good go against Manchester City, especially in the first 20 minutes of the second half and had chances to get right back into the game," said March.

“We need to start games on the front foot, if we can do that on Saturday like we did the first 20 minutes against City then we’ll give ourselves a great chance. We can take a lot from that performance [against City] and there are things we’ve been working on this week which will hopefully make a difference against Chelsea too.

“I’m sure the fans will be up for it because Graham [Potter] is coming back and it’s up to us to start strongly and get them right behind us.”

Trossard has scored all four goals under De Zerbi and March is confident they can ease the goalscoring burden on the Belgian.

“Leo is always contributing and the rest of us have to as well,” he added. “We are definitely capable of it, we have got goals throughout the team and we have shown that this season already.”
