Levi Colwill has not been included in Albion's last two Premier League squads.

Albion take on reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday at the Etihad, kick-off 3pm.

Pep Guardiola’s men suffered their first defeat of the league campaign last weekend as they were beaten by Liverpool.

Prior to that, City had won seven of their opening nine games and now sit four points off Arsenal in top spot.

Roberto De Zerbi’s team on the other hand are yet to win in the Italian’s first four matches as Albion head coach, having drawn with Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, while suffering defeats to Tottenham and Brentford.

City player to watch

Erling Haaland is in the middle of a slump by his own standards, having not registered a goal or an assist in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, the first Premier League game this season where had failed to do so. The striker has netted 15 times already this season though, as he continues to break records regularly since his move from Borussia Dortmund.

Stats

Manchester City have won nine of their 10 Premier League meetings with Brighton, with the exception being a 3-2 away loss in May 2021.

Brighton have never won an away league game against Manchester City – they’ve lost 10 of their 12 such visits, including each of the last eight by an aggregate score of 21-2.

Manchester City have won each of their last nine Premier League home games, scoring at least three goals each time. There have only been two longer such runs in English top-flight history, both recorded by Aston Villa (12 between March/December 1897 and 13 between December 1930 and September 1931).

Man City lost for the first time in 22 Premier League games last time out against Liverpool, with the Citizens last losing consecutive league matches in December 2018.

Brighton are winless in their last three away league games, losing twice and conceding seven goals. They had won five of their previous seven on the road before this (D1 L1) and had conceded just six goals in that run.

Brighton remain winless in their four Premier League games under Roberto De Zerbi (D2 L2), failing to score in each of their last three. The last manager to fail to win any of his first five Premier League games was Scott Parker in April 2019, while the last non-English manager to do so was Bob Bradley in November 2016.

After scoring three goals from just six attempts in Roberto De Zerbi’s first match in charge, Brighton have failed to score with any of their 54 shots over their last three Premier League games.

Man City’s Phil Foden has been involved in six goals in his last four Premier League appearances against Brighton, scoring five and assisting one. A goal here would see him become the first player to score in five consecutive Premier League games against Brighton.

Having failed to score in his first appearance for Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland has scored in each of his last six home games in all competitions, netting 13 goals in total. The last player to score in seven consecutive home games for the Citizens was Sergio Agüero, between December and February in the 2017-18 campaign.

Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne has created more chances (33) and provided more assists (9) than any other player in the Premier League this season. He’s also been involved in four goals in his three Premier League home games against Brighton (1 goal, 3 assists).
