Lewis Dunk has captained Albion to four clean sheets so far this campaign.

Lewis Dunk says Albion’s performances don’t reflect in their points haul since Roberto De Zerbi was appointed head coach.

Albion have drawn two and lost two of the Italian’s four games in charge and haven’t scored in three games, despite mustering over 50 efforts on goal.

“We have been good, the results don't reflect the performances we have put in and that is frustrating,” the skipper said. “We have to keep moving on, keep stepping forward and hopefully the results will come again.

“Roberto said that we performed well [against Nottingham Forest], we were the better team. We have just got to keep on improving. Everyone can see we deserved three points but football is football and you don't get what you deserve all the time.

“We have got to take it on the chin, we'll watch the game back and keep on improving and take that into the weekend against Manchester City.

“All that’s missing is a bit of luck. We dominated the game, dominated possession, dominated the pitch and created loads of chances but just couldn't put them in the back of the net. It's a frustrating one but if we perform like that every week we will get the results we need.”

Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw marked Albion’s fourth clean sheet of the campaign, with Steve Cooper’s men failing to land a shot on target.

“As a defender it is always nice to keep a clean sheet. No shots on target is a nice stat to have in your game. We have just got to keep doing what we are doing, we haven't lost that. We are a confident bunch, we know what we are about. Hopefully the results will turn.

“It's frustrating not scoring a goal at the other end, but it is the hardest job in football. It's not the people that had the chances’ fault, we win, lose, and draw as a team. That is the way it will always be.”
